I would tackle my first blazer/fitted jacket, but I would love to add embroidery to it, kind of like the old fashioned sailor style jackets. Just started sewing again a few days ago and I’m so inspired by everything I see!! So many projects in mind!

My 10th Wedding Anniversary is coming up and my hubby & I are renewing our vows. I have plans to make a dress and a new sewing machine would be absolutely wonderful. I want to be able to do some embroidery on the dress, but my current machine doesn’t have that feature.

I’m a single teacher who just bought her first house last summer. There’s a room in my house, a loft, that I’ve been hoping to turn into my little sewing haven. My big project would be sewing curtains and throw pillows for the loft. (My next project is sewing well-fititng summer dresses because of my recent weight loss!)

I’ve been wanting to get back into sewing more than curtains and drapes, and shortening pants for my dear hubby, and mending torn seams for some time now. I know there is nothing wrong with my current 30-something-year-old machine, but just maybe a brand new machine with FIVE different buttonholes that sew automatically to the button’s size and other electronic “goodies” is just what I need to get myself back to making some better fitting clothes for myself and some really cute items for my seven grandchildren. I have plenty of fabric—I’m just one of the many ‘fabriholics’ that are around—and I should really put it to good use!

Wow a fabulous machine to tackle my huge fabric collection! All the inspiration from clothing, quilting to crafts will be much easier with this Project Runway Brother sewing machine. Some of the projects on the drawing board include blazers, outercoat, pants, blouses, slipcovers, quilts, crafts- doll clothing. This machine will be well loved and cared for and be used to shape many shelving units of delicious fabric. Very passionate about sewing and machines. Lynn

I would love to win the fab new Brother Limited Edition Project Runway sewing machine as I have an awesome sewing project to create involving offcuts of high quality upholstery fabric and some awesome funky handbag patterns! I am sure this will put the machine through all it’s paces and allow me to experiment with it’s great new features!

I would use this machine to sew up camping gear. From sewing camping hats, dish washing bags, to sleeping bags, I would love to sew on this machine this spring while watching new episodes of Project Runway. Whew! Why do they make us wait so long for new episodes??!! I heard the new ones are starting late spring :)

Looks like a neat machine – and so very portable! I’d love it – and would like to teach someone to sew!

I would love to win this sewing machine, to sew all my summer wardrobe! I would make a white dress using all the decorative stitches on the machine to make it unique! Right now, my sewing machine is the more basic tat you can find on the market, well it works ok but anything a bit difficult becomes complicate, and watch your ears when I use it!! Thanks :)

I’d love to make my first spring dress on a machine. I saw a super cute pattern on here!

I’ve lost over 40 pounds (on my way to my goal of losing 100 pounds this year), so my first project would be to take in my clothes that can be altered, and sew some new ones – I’m thinking some sun dresses for summer, maybe some pants and skirts for work.

If i won this amazing Brothers Project Runway edition sewing machine i would be the happiest person in the world. I have been saving up for a new sewing machine for about half a year now bc i would like to make most if not all of my own unique cloths for my senior year. I would also like to be able to create my own homecoming and prom dress. If i could do that it would be a dream come true. If i were to win this machine i would also make blankets for some friends of mine. And cloths for a little girl that i babysit.. i am also considering going to college for fashion design. Please help a girls dreams come true. Thank you so much.

If I won the Brother Project Runway sewing machine I would create my clothing line of 70s and 80s clothing with a modern twist =) Also clothes for my nieces because they love wearing the clothes I make for them. My sewing machine right now is a very generic brand that breaks the needles for lightweight garments, the only needles it doesn’t break are the jeans needles :( poor fabric!

My current machine sounds like a freight train thats about to derail. I’d love to sew my summer wardrobe with this beaut! Then maybe I’d have some peace and quite in my apartment.

If I am the lucky winner of the Project Runway Limited Edition Innov-ís 40 then the first project that I would make is a mixed media wall hanging. Then I would love to make home items spruce up my home. Maybe some mathing cushions. So, keeping my fingers crossed. ….and hoping to win.

I would make a belly dancing costume ready for my first ever show appearance in June. I inherited an old-style wood-topped iron foot-peddle Singer sewing machine from my grandmother which is a great spiritual inspiration, but falls short on the practical incentive. I would love such a fabulous brand-spankingly modern machine to make the intricate details and embellishments every hand-made garment-maker desires. There are some great belly-dance projects featured here. The BurdaStyle community has inspired me to plunge in at the deep end to make an outfit for a dance that honors the female body of every proportion whether luscious or wispy, and that physically expresses womanliness in all its infinite adaptations and styles. A big challenge but if I can do it on time I could be wearing it on stage in a few months!

I was always told that i have really good style and fashion and that’s what made me think of learning to design clothes, other than the fact that i have a passion for fashion. My dad got me a small sewing machine to practice on, and that’s when i started teaching myself how to sew and design dresses of different kinds.
If I was to have this sewing machine i know i would design the dress that i had in mind for a while now, which i am quite sure will get me into the fashion desgin business and get me to the top line……and that is a dream to come true sooner than later :)

Actually- funny story. My seamstress friend was teaching to me to sew, and we were doing costume comissions together. She had this exact machine, but had to move, and it broke in transit.
My friend has had a really hard year, so I would love to win this for her. And as for the project I’d do? We’d finally be able to get back to the costumes!

I’ll be teaching summer school in the south this summer. I’d make some cool, cotton sundresses!

I would make a 1920’s One-Hour Dress out of tie-dyed silk. My poor old sewing machine got me through fashion school and is now on its last legs. The spool holders came off and now I have to stick a double-pointed knitting needle into the machine to hold the thread! Not ideal. I make all my own clothes and would be so grateful to win this machine.

I have so many projects on my sewing ‘to do’ list’ but now that spring is finally here I guess I’d start witha pretty blouse.

All of them, naturally. :-) But one of them would be a dress for my mother we came up with together.

I have a number of BurdaStyle Magazine patterns cut out and ready to go. I need a machine!
Apr 3, 2011, 03.39 AMby chieflotsahair
I believe I would be a bit selfish and the first few items made by the machine would be for my wardrobe. Then I would get to projects that I would like to make for my niece. This would also be a second machine, so I would finally be able to pass on a sewing machine to my sister who would really like to sew again.

If I won this machine I would make a dress that I’ve had the pattern and the material since November but have been scared to start. I’m new to sewing and am still building my skills. I really enjoy it though. I also would complete alot of recon projects.
