Sewing for yourself can be quite rewarding, but if you’re looking to for the ultimate reward, consider making something for those in need. If you’ve thought about putting your skills to work for a charity, but didn’t know where to turn, this list at We All Sew is quite expansive and is updated weekly.

The Australian Sewing Guild groupsmake Breast Pillows for ladies who have had surgery or treatment for Breast Cancer, they are pink satin so they are nice and soft against the skin, Pink is the colour used here in Australia for breast cancer awareness and fund raising. When you get a group together many items can be make very quickly, we spent one of our meetings makinghtem lately and had many finished in no time!!

I hope this inspires some of you

This is awesome! I never thought of using my sewing for charity, and how selfish do I feel about that! This definitely changes my thoughts for that overflowing fabric pile I have at home. Thank you for finding and sharing this!

It i a wonderful idea! This means being able to make anything you want without having the (luxe) problem of not knowing were to put it. Sounds a bit strange maybe, but this is seriously something that is keeping me from making a lot. I make only what i need at this moment.

Excellent way to keep in touch with a world where so many have nothing. Consider making up a garment for practice and giving it (anonymously) to a person in need. In each of our countries, there are always such folk. Cordially, Nehmah
