BurdaStyle Day, May 12th is only days away!
Over 40 groups have formed on our official Meetup page, and we are so excited for all of you to meet one another live and in-person!
Have a craft night, a simple meet-and-greet, a taco party or whatever else your group wants to do. This is your opportunity to take your BurdaStyle experience to a local level. Meet fellow members who live in your area and trade tips on the best shops for supplies, form a new sewing club, or find a partner for muslin fittings!
For New Yorkers, we’re throwing a party at Purl Soho! Find us at Purl Soho from 5:30 – 7pm. Meet the BurdaStyle team and your local BurdaStylers! For more information, and to let us know you’re coming, please see our NYC Meetup page.
We’d love to see what you all end up doing for this event. Record the fun through images and video, and post them on Flickr and YouTube. Then, share them with us on our media wall on Meetup. On Flickr, you can also post them in the BurdaStyle Group.
We will be doing an editorial recap of the worldwide event, so be sure to share photos and video and you may find yourself on the BurdaStyle blog!

The Portland, Oregon Meet-up was great! We really enjoyed talking about your projects and visiting some of our local sewing related businesses. I posted two images under r.shelly on the burda flickr account. We are going to continue meeting up as well. Great idea about the meet-ups!

Our Philly team decided to wait until Saturday to celebrate so everyone could participate. We’re meeting at the annual Art Star Craft Bazaar! Can’t wait!

For any Portland, Oregon people, I just added a location that we could meet at. It is a little coffee shop in the Alberta Arts district with a great little fabric boutique within walking distance. Hope to see you there and spread this to other friends who sew in our area! Thanks! -Rebecca
