I would like to chime in with my extreme disappointment. I use the burdafashion.com site to view the current and archived versions of both Burda World of Fashion and Burda Plus Fashion magazines and to check out patterns. I check the site at least each month to see what is in the current issue which I then buy from my local fabric store. If fact, I was going there just now to see what was in the June issue and got redirected here. I am a member of both sites and like both of them, but they serve very different purposes for me. No longer having access to the magazine contents/archives will be what I will miss most and will likely cut down on my Burda magazine purchases greatly.

I am glad you can purchase Burda in a bookstore. I can only order them. I am very disappointed as well. I was first disappointed when BurdaStyle changed its format. Now I am even more disappointed that I can’t view BurdaFashion anymore. I know several people who do not come to this site as often as before.

I hate to say that Im disappointed too. Will Burdastyle.com integrate the magazine component that burdafashion had? As a Burda Magazine subscriber, how will the monthly magazine be integrated into the burdastyle site and archives as well? Also will we have access to view all of the burda patterns? Hopefully these issues can be discussed and a little more accessible that having to dig through a bunch of discussion pages. Help us DavidatBurdastyledotcom!

What?! Why? I look at BurdaFashion all the time to check out the patterns! It is much easier than standing in a shop flipping through the big pattern book…. And I like all the free download patterns on BurdaFashion too….

I really don’t like this change. Why can’t we have both burdafashion.com and burdasyle.com? The two sites serve different purposes and different audiences.

I agree. I am trying to find a certain pattern and look for a magazine and I am directed here. I am a little upset.

Escorpio: At the german side burdastyle is currently reconstructing the archiv from the old fashion side: http://www.burdastyle.de/magazine/archiv/

Actually you can find the old archive at the italian, french and russian side as always: http://www.burdafashion.com/fr/Magazines/Archives_des_magazines/1270777-1463237.html

Ps: I myself prefer the french language. ;) immi.

Thanks for the link. I use burdafashion.com extensively, mainly to view current and archived versions of the magazines (including Burda Plus). I speak French, well enough anyway, so this is very helpful for me.

You can´t do so on the German page, the function was turned off. All You can see now is the Magazine-Cover, the date of issue and a list with the topics. You can not go through old magazines and former styles like before on the German page, too.

I checked that a moment ago, and you can see most of the old magazines…! Not everything, but on the german page you can still look through the magazine archives, and see most of the important topics.

So, if you, like myself, use the Burdafashion page to look through the magazine archives in the future I now must do that on the German page?

loesjevdm, thankyou so much for the link, I used it, logged in, clicked the “EN” at the top of the page and I now have the English Burdafashion site, patterns, archives, downloads and all. So if anyone wants the English version just go to http://www.burdamode.com:8080/en/index.html now if this site is to be kept updated or not I don’t know. It is a shame Burda couldn’t tell us that an english translation of Burdamode was available!

Hey Escorpio, we are working hard to get the archives on our site but unfortunately at this time, the pattern catalog is only available at BurdaStyle.de.
