Exotic prints and silhouettes combine for this alluring collection. These patterns are from the November 2011 issue of Burda Style magazine. All instructions to previously published patterns have been updated.

A wide waistband gives the Satin Pencil Skirt a streamlined look that’s more interesting than a plainer silhouette. The effect is extra slimming, especially with princess seams down the front.

_102

Transform yourself into a 1970s disco queen in this all-in-one metallic Jumpsuit. It’s anything but ordinary and turns any evening into a special occasion.

_101

A straight coat takes on new life in exotic faux fur. Wear this overcoat for a big dose of glamour all winter long. It make a great addition to a cocktail dress or satin slacks!

_103

Baggy Leopard Print Pants are cinched at the waist with a wide sash. They’re similar to harem pants for that exotic feeling that’s as comfy to wear as your favorite lounge pants. Make them in animal print for an extra flirty look.

_106

What’s sexier than a Leopard Satin Blouse? This on has a pretty ruffled front for a flirty touch. Wear it with black cigarette pants on a date.

_107A

The Tied Tunic Dress can be worn as a tunic with leggings or as a mini dress. It’s casual in stretch jersey with a waist tie and no collar or cuffs.

_108A

Go bold in figure hugging Gold Leather Leggings. These pants are cut without pockets or a waistband for a smooth, tight fit. They would look just as good in coated denim, faux leather, or suede.

_104 and 105

The Cropped Jacket is for women who prefer a fitted, peplum silhouette to a straight menswear cut. Wear it with the unusual Wrap Trousers, which have an equally feminine look with a wrap front and decorative zips at the inseam.

_110

This Brocade Jacket is perfectly fitted and sewn in a metallic brocade for a dressed up take on the blazer. Contrasting lapels can be matched to your trousers for a glam suit, or wear it with a white tee, skinny jeans, and heels.

Brocade and animal print instantly make your look more sultry. Bring out your sensual side with these cool trousers, satin blouses, and fitted jackets.

Happy sewing!

Hee hee, babushka pants! I’m strangely drawn to them, perhaps because the description says “lounge,” which I love to do. Seriously, the one sewer who made and reviewed them did narrow the legs and hers look really good. I agree that the pencil skirt variation is really attractive. I also find the wrap trousers attractive but not for my build. Brocade jacket is gorgeous but too much of a time investment. Why is Burda recycling looks? We need NEW designs.

I love a bunch of stuff. The pencil skirt is my favorite pencil skirt yet. This one is a basic must have!. I love the fur coat, love ,love, I would make it short maybe. I also love the mini with the shirt collar , it has a masculine edge I like. Cool stuff, not crazy about the babushka pants but hey cant win them all
