This new pattern collection from burda style magazine’s January 2013 issue is one not to be missed. It is a retro collection of classic Aenne Burda patterns from the 60s. These designs are retro in essence, but with a modern twist!

This Sheath Dress with princess seams, and fitted skirt is so stunning. The heart-shaped neckline and matching belt with buckle give it that retro feel.

The seamless, Calf-Length Coat with inseam pockets is doubled with wool velour is a wardrobe must this season. It has an XXL-collar, lapels and cuffs.

Here is a lovely form-fitting Side Panel Dress with removable, embroidered hood and belt loop.

This Chiffon Dress with wide swinging pleated skirt has awesome movement and a form-fitting corset under-dress that adds structure.

This 60s Dress with Peter Pan collar, is so sweet. It features a decorative waist detail and welt pockets.

Sheath Dress with delicate lace sleeves and cross-stitching.
Happy Sewing!

Merry christmas to all! :-) Great idea with a vintage collection, but then back to the one-item-per-magazine again. With the risk of sounding old and cranky, I would buy vintage patterns if I wanted to sew vintage. I buy BurdaStyle to get a take on the fashion of today. :-)

I love so many of the patterns that Burda has come out with. I just hope you keep is varied. I like vintage, but I don’t only want vintage. ( I don’t have a real vintage sort of look) I loved so many of the kids patterns and even the mens. I sew it all. Keep up the great pattern choices and lots of variety. Thanks!

Merry Christmas! My mother had this 1967 dress but in three colors, beige (upper part and sleeves), light toasted brown (second section) and green (rest of the dress) and she added a coat in green, all in dupion or shantung, she always was the Queen of the balls!

I’m in love with these dresses! My favorite part of Burdastyle is the vintage pattern reprints. The details and styling suit me the best. And the models in the old ads are so cute! Love their hair!

Merry Christmas to me! I love every single one of these dresses!! I hadn’t thought about a New Year’s resolution yet, but I definetely think it would be to try every single one of these patterns. Even a coat, which absolutely intimidates me. But it looks so beautiful! Well done Burda! I love this collection and hope to see more in 2013!!
