A while ago I was approached by Fanshawe College where I initially studied Fashion Design, do to a feature on me and my Job at BurdaStyle.com to promote their Fashion Design program. I was happy to allow them into my studio and capture a day in the life working for BurdaStyle.com. I love what I do, and I love being apart of this fabulous creative community of sewers who constantly inspire me.

They sat me down and asked me some questions about my job and my time at Fanshawe College. I had a great experience studying Fashion Design there, and that is where I developed my love for pattern making and learned many of other skills that I apply in my job.

I went about my day that includes writing, working with sewing patterns, and sewing! They went about documenting my daily duties and all the various things I do for the site. It was so much fun to share my work and the photographer said to me “You have the best job” and I totally agree. She is starting to take sewing classes so I insisted she start up a BurdaStyle.com profile and post her progress. I sent her home with a couple of patterns as well :)

    Meg,

I can tell you really enjoy your job. There is no greater purpose in life then to love the work that you do and to do the work that you love.

I do wish you’d kick this gobbledegook spammer above out of your site once and for all. This is too nice a website to be pestered each and every day by these racketeers. Surely there’s a competent engineer at your end who could get rid of them? Best wishes and keep up the good sewing!
