I have a dress I’ve been meaning to alter for starters!

No doubt, It’d be something for my kids! My girls both need some spring dresses!

I would use it to tackle the piles of gorgeous Harris tweed I’ve been amassing over the last while… I speak Gaelic and work with local community groups trying to help revive this endangered language. I’ve got an idea for making a quilt-style banner, raising awareness about the language’s plight, using Harris tweed. It seems appropriate that it should use a fabric made in one of the last strongholds of the language.

I would love to have an advanced machine like this. It would open so many more possibilities. I have a basic Brother now, and have been pretty happy with it. I would definitely get into some more things like maybe some quilting, and oh yes, a pretty feminine smock type top in gauze with lots of little buttons.

I am pretty new to sewing so a good machine would be really helpful to work with! Wedding season is coming up and I’d like to make unique dresses for each of them.

I would use this machine to make a pair of jeans – Jalie 2908 – need a machine with good feed dogs to get all that topstitching perfect.

I would make more purses. Purses are pretty much the only thing I can make not look ugly! xP

I would love to attempt a fully lined winter coat – I’m sure this machine would give it a million times more of a professional finish. It would also be great to have a machine that doesn’t refuse point blank to accept a twin needle, or constantly skip stitches on knits :)

I would make a suit to my boyfriend and a princess outfit for myself! and of course, a whole collection of my own fashion designs (i’ll start soon fashion studies!)… OMG this is a great give away! I hope to be lucky here!

I’d work in a pretty, drapey dress for the summertime!

I would be making my son’s pants and shirts. I would try my hand at winter clothing and coveralls. It is hard to find good patterns for men and boys, but I have been at this for about 20 years…love it!

Dresses for the lovely one.

I am crazy about cute chic trousers, so I would use this machine to make the coolest, pleated, tapered 5/8 trousers with interesting stitches on the pockets and hem finishes. Home made Audrey Hepburn style!

I just got a hold of a box full of vintage patterns! I would use this machine to make a jacket or 4, some pants, and clothes for my boys! What a wonderful giveaway!!

Just moved into a new house, I would make curtains, and cover couches galore!
Mar 28, 2011, 03.15 PMby atropibelladonna
If I won this machine, I would actually give it to my Sister-in-law. Her machine recently became unrepairable and her daughter has decided to start doing Pageants. This would be of great benefit for her to do pageant dresses on.

I am in full stash-busting mode, so…everything! Dresses galore! And maybe I wouldn’t dread making my buttonholes.
Mar 28, 2011, 03.14 PMby michelleinpa
I’ve been using the lowest-end, most basic, Brother machine since I bought it in the early 90s. I keep hoping it’ll break so I can upgrade, but so far, it’s heartbreakingly reliable. A new, fancy Brother would be dreamy. I imagine I wouldn’t stop sewing – maybe I’d finally make the matching dresses for my daughter and her doll.

I would make a steampunk victorian outfit.
Mar 28, 2011, 03.12 PMby crackerhouse
Maybe a tunic? or dress? Have really wanted to sew more. This could be the inspiration (and equipment I need)!
Mar 28, 2011, 03.10 PMby MMaggie
Dream dream dream… I would make a really good use of this fantastic sawing machine.
Mar 28, 2011, 02.02 PMby stephiaffi
A blouse with loads of little buttons down the front…one-step buttonholes would make that so much easier!
Mar 28, 2011, 01.49 PMby Lindsay Foucht
I’m thinking with this machine, it would be time for me to attempt boning… a corset perhaps?
Mar 28, 2011, 01.47 PMby Ramona Bates
Would love to have an extra machine. Would make it easier to “give up” my machine when it’s time for basic maintenance. :)
Mar 28, 2011, 01.41 PMby sigridjakob
I would make a black gored skirt with four zippers – two in the front and two in the back – that allow you to add extra flare. It’s an idea that’s a little bit inspired by a skirt from the Alexander McQueen FW2011 collection.
Mar 28, 2011, 01.39 PMby angelical
If I win the machine, I would make a beautiful corset with a lace overlay. Perhaps in hot pink?
Mar 28, 2011, 01.33 PMby titania
I would love that machine. Would use it to make clothes for myself and my sisters and their children. Tania
Mar 28, 2011, 01.23 PMby RebeccaPaige
I would make a red lace party dress!
Mar 28, 2011, 01.17 PMby carmencitab
I would make this big red winter coat I am obsessed about!
Mar 28, 2011, 01.03 PMby karrelle
I would use it to make baby things for my baby nephew and baby niece.
