Sewing Republic and BurdaStyle have teamed up again to bring you a great new challenge. During this month long Apron Remake Challenge, we are inviting you to use your creativity and imagination to reinvent the Two Tone Apron from The Sewing Republic brought to you by BERNINA. You have until 11:59 pm EST March 24th to submit your entries, so check out the rules and get started!

It was hard but we narrowed it down to 50 amazing entries! Now it’s time for you to vote for your favorite! you have until march 2nd to cast your vote, you can vote for as many different entries as you’d like but only once on each. Check it out and get voting.

All the winners are invited to attend and model in the “Coats & Clark Pink & Red Fashion Show” at the Sewing & Stitchery Expo in Puyallup, Washington. (along with a plethora of other prizes!)

We are so excited to bring you a new competition. It’s perfect for every skill level, and we encourage you all to enter! This one is all about taking inspiration from Natalie Chanin’s new book, Alabama Studio Style.

From her studio in Florence, Alabama, Natalie Chanin, founder and creative director of the acclaimed fashion and lifestyle company Alabama Chanin, works with local artisans to create handmade organic cotton-jersey clothing sought by connoisseurs of beauty and sustainable style worldwide. In Alabama Studio Style, a follow-up to the celebrated Alabama Stitch Book, Chanin takes her fans on another compelling journey of creativity, technique, and inspiration, this time sharing many more of her beautiful stenciling, stitching, and beading methods, and a collection of over 20 projects, including her award-winning dresses and skirts. You may remember that last year we did a two-part series on Natalie’s amazing work and philosophy, which you can read here

With over 115 entries this has been our biggest competition ever! Click through both the Part 1 and the Part 2 slide show to see all the entries. You must be signed in to vote and may only vote for each creation once, though you can vote for as many different entries as you like! Voting will be open till 11:59 pm EST on the 16th of Feb so get going!

Just a reminder, you have until 11:59pm EST January 31st 2010 to either upload or email an image of the completed Pink & Red garment to BurdaStyle. So many great projects have already come in and we are excited to see what is to come! See all the rules here
