Project Runway Recap, S 16, E3

A Leap of Innovation – Taking inspiration from the movie Leap: I’ll start off by saying: I don’t get it. The winning look from E3 looked like a sloppy, ill-fitting oversized men’s shirt with button loop accents. Why was this suddenly a masterpiece? Tony Awards Best Dressed 2017

Gold_medium

The Tony Awards is beginning to show that it can have a seat at the big kids table. If you’ve been a watcher of the Tony Awards you can’t help but notice that stars are bringing a lot more A game to their fashion choices. Anyone remember when Frances McDormand accepted the Best Actress award in a (gasp!) jean jacket? Lucky for fashion followers, critics and lovers of glitz and glam there were no jeans at this years show. However, you can tell there is a much more understated look to this awards show than say the Oscars, Cannes, Gold Globes etc.

Let’s look at some of the more memorable looks of the night. I have to say one of my favorites is Katrina Lenk. Her gold dress, especially against the floral back drop was simple elegance.
